Albright Realty has a long history of political, community and civic involvement. Our founder, C. H. “Icky” Albright, was a World War II veteran. He served on the Rock Hill City Council from 1940 to 1944. He also served as mayor of the City of Rock Hill from 1948 to 1954, and during his tenure as mayor founded our famous “Come-See-Me” festival, which is held in the spring of every year. He served in the State Senate of South Carolina from 1966 to 1968. After his tenure of public service, Mr. Albright served as director of the South Carolina Small Business Administration from 1969 until his retirement in 1975. He was past president of the Rock Hill Chamber of Commerce and the Rock Hill Kiwanis Club, a member of the board of directors for the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce, YMCA, Red Cross, Salvation Army and United Fund. Mr. Albright was president of York County Association of REALTORS® in 1964 and the South Carolina Association of REALTORS® in 1965, and was REALTOR® of the Year in 1967.
